Uses: Magnesium Hydroxide is used in cheese to enhance rennet and stabilises the colour of vegetables during canning and also in antacids to neutralise stomach acid and also as a laxative.
Laxative in high concentration. Diarrhoea is a possible side effect.
Don’t take it if you have kidney problems.
Interferes with folic acid and iron absorption. Can also deplete potassium levels, and if not topped up can produce muscle cramps
Banned in Australia. Avoid it.
