Can be a gastrointestinal and liver toxicant. Can also effect the nervous and respiratory systems.
Description: Calcium Sulphate is used largely as a mineral salt which occurs naturally in the form of gypsum, and may be used as a sequestrant in food as well as a buffer and firming agent.
Used in mortar, cement and plaster of Paris. Derived from limestone.
