Uses:  Calcium Oxide is used in bread, confectionary, sour cream, dairy products, tripe, tinned peas. Also used in the manufacture of sugar to remove impurities, in bakery products as stabiliser and as a nutrient for yeast.


It is also used in the preparation of intestines for sausages (as cover, not filling).


Also called Quicklime, it is dangerous and can react in small amounts of water, even perspiration and can cause serious burns.






Description: Calcium Oxide is a mineral salt prepared from chalk, used as adjusting and modifying agent.
