Uses: Known to cause migraines and other reactions, can be carcinogenic, caused damage to rats testicles and mouse embryos in tests. Cyclamates are also associated with various skin conditions.
Has also been linked to liver damage, cancer of the bladder and birth defects.
Banned in the US due its links with cancer but is still available in the UK.
