Uses: Fumaric Acid is added to foods as an acidity regulator and flavouring agent, may be used as a substitute for cream of tartar.


It is used as a mordant in dyeing and in the manufacture of synthetic resins and polyhydric alcohols.


Typical products include bread, fruit drinks, pie fillings, poultry, wine, jams, jelly.


Description: Fumaric Acid is derived from plants of the genus Fumaria esp. F.officianalis or from the fermentation of glucose with fungi.


Fumaric Acid can be used to flavour, acidify, as an antioxidant or raising agent used in soft drinks and cake mixes.
