McDonald’s chicken McNuggets served in the U.S. contain tertiary-butyl hydroquinone (TBHQ), a petroleum-based product, and dimethylpolysiloxane, an anti-foaming agent also used in Silly Putty.


Ingesting a single gram of TBHQ can cause "nausea, vomiting, ringing in the ears, delirium, a sense of suffocation, and collapse." Ingesting five grams of TBHQ can kill. TBHQ is a highly toxic substance and should not be allowed in any foodstuffs

Description: TBHQ is a synthetic food grade antioxidant from a petroleum base used for stabilising various oils, fats and foods against oxidative deterioration.


TBHQ is a form of butane and is used in oils as an anti-foaming agent, which prolongs the life of the oil therefore making bigger profits for large companies at the expense of peoples health.
