Uses: L-Leucine is a nutrient, mainly for yeast in bread. Also used as a bread enhancer. Genetically coded amino acid used in dietary supplements and is also used in beverages.


L-Leucine is produced using a chemical process, so caution should be used. Large use can also increase serum ammonia which could cause liver and kidney damage. It is also recommended not to use during pregnancy and nursing and to be given to young children.
