Uses: Zinc acetate is used as a breath freshener and plaque inhibitor in chewing gum. Also in dietary supplements, and body building formulas.
Too much zinc can cause nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, loss of appetite, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, loss of muscle coordination. May cause adverse mutagenic or teratogenic effects and may be a suspected carcinogen.
Treat with caution.

It is used in the treatment of acne, and as a topical anti-itch ointment.
